I remember my first formal dance. I was so nervous. It ended up being a fun night and one of many to come. Now that my daughter is about the age where her first formal dance is to take place I figured it was time to start shopping for a girls formal dress for her. We decided to make a day of it and really had an amazing time trying on a bunch of girls formal dresses.

There is a lot that goes into buying that "perfect" dress.  You want to make sure it is the right color, style, and length...and of course affordable.  Girls always want to look fabulous and finding an affordable, unique dress can sometimes be a challenge.  It's a good thing we now have purchasing options.  We can go to the mall and try on dresses at many of the stores or we can take a risk and order it online.  With easy return policies, if you don't like it, you just simply return it.  The internet is also a great source for finding the perfect dress from the mall for less.  I love bargains-who doesn't.  Many people think that the Department stores will carry too many of the same dresses, but this is not always the case.  There are stores that only order one or two of each size of any particular girls formal dresses.  Make sure to shop around before making the purchase, although you don't want to wait too long to find that the dress you loved is gone.

The color of  girls formal dresses  plays a role as well.  We tend to steer towards the safe little black dress but it many occasions, color is the best way to go.  A color that is in style for the season is a safe bet.  I always like to go with what I feel comfortable in, sometimes it's black and other times it is pink (all shades-but love hot pink).   It all comes down to what fits you and your personality.  My daughter will look fabulous in the dress she chose and so will you.
